NORTHERN ICE  CONCENTRATION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

These recent days I read a question that got stuck into my mind, what would you be now if you got your childhood dreamed job? What an easy question, isn’t it? What I had and I still have clear is that I wanted to be an engineer that worked for improving our nowadays society wellbeing.

Climate change! ?

I grew up hearing these words and with the idea that we must take care of our acts to protect the environment and its ecosystems. Applying my technical knowledge to this affair I have tried to prove to myself the truth of this global change since there is no better way of believing in a cause than proving it. Using the tools provided by MathWorks and the Copernicus ECMWF EUMETSAT data I developed a series of animations that show how the Northern Ice is melting more and more since 1981 during the hot seasons. Furter studies about my first approach would be developed, I hope that you enjoy them.
